Delhi Police has said that a case of rape has been registered in the Timarpur police station area.
The FIR, filed on the basis of a woman's complaint, states that writer Nilotpal Mrinal raped her for 10 years on the pretext of marriage. The FIR also said that a police officer called the woman's father and said that she was blackmailing him to extort money from Nilotpal. The 32-year-old victim is originally from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
