MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was reportedly attacked at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai, in the early hours of Thursday. The incident occurred at around 2:30 AM when a burglar broke into the actor's home. During the confrontation, Saif was injured and is now receiving treatment at Lilavati Hospital. The Mumbai Police have shared details about the incident as investigations are underway.

What Happened During the Attack

According to the Mumbai Police, the intruder entered Saif Ali Khan's home late at night and was initially noticed by the household staff. A heated argument broke out between the burglar and the staff members. Saif, attempting to intervene and resolve the situation, was attacked by the thief and sustained injuries during the scuffle.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) confirmed that the actor suffered injuries in the altercation. Authorities are currently investigating the matter to identify the full sequence of events and gather evidence.

Police Investigation Underway

Crime Branch officers from the Mumbai Police are actively investigating the case. They were seen at Saif and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Bandra residence, searching for clues about how the intruder managed to enter the property. At the time of the attack, Kareena Kapoor Khan was reportedly present in their Sadguru Sharan apartment.

Three members of the actor’s household staff have been detained for questioning in connection with the incident. The police are probing whether there was any involvement from inside sources.

Saif Ali Khan Undergoes Surgery

Lilavati Hospital has provided an update on Saif Ali Khan’s condition. The hospital confirmed that the actor is undergoing a delicate surgical procedure due to the severity of his injuries. Reports indicate that Saif suffered a 10-centimeter wound on the back of his neck, along with injuries to his left hand. A sharp weapon caused the injuries, making the situation critical.
