Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's epic action drama film "Laal Kaptaan" is set for release in cinemas on October 11. Previously its release date was something else. The film has been directed by Navdeep Singh, who won fame from "NH10", and the film was first to be released on September 6. Saif plays the role of a Naga monk in the film.

"As an actor, Saif underlines the themes of vengeance and deceit in the film," said Sunil Lalla, managing director of Eros International Media Limited, in a recent statement. "It's a good time for viewers to announce the release date of the film on the occasion of his birthday," Saif said, celebrating his 49th birthday on August 16.

Bollywood filmmaker Anand L Rai has produced the film through his banner colour Yellow Productions and he has said, "We are extremely happy to announce the Laal Kaptaan's release date on Saif's birthday as a team." The much-discussed web series Sacred Games 2 starring Saif Ali Khan has appeared in on August 15.
