Saina defeats Yamaguchi to enter Denmark Open quarters

India’s star women Badminton player Saina Nehwal continued her good performance and entered the Denmark Open quarter-finals on Thursday . She aina defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the pre-quarterfinals of the women's singles category.

The Indian player registered an easy 21-15 21-17 win over Yamaguchi to march further in the tournament. This victory is also so special for Saina as she defeated Yamaguchi after 4 years. The match was tight and Saina mentioned it after winning and said that every player in the tournament gives a tough fight.

Saina was looking confident from the beginning of the match only and won the first game 21-15 . The world number two Japanese was expected to hit back strongly in the second game but Nehwal did not give chance to Yamaguchi resulting in a straight-game victory for the Saina.

Earlier Yamaguchi had defeated Saina in the Malaysian Open and Uber Cup this year. Saina recorded her first win against Yamaguchi 4 years ago in November 2014
