Sakshi Tanwar is one of the renowned actors in Television. She is a part of some longest-running and most successful serials. Sakshi was born on 12 January 1973 in Alwar. Sakshi became the household name from Ekta Kapoor's TV serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki. She played the character of Parvati Agarwal.

Sakshi begins her television career in 1988 with Doordarshan's program 'Albela Sur Mela'. After this she appeared in Ekta Kapoor's serial 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki'.  The show ran for almost eight years.  She has also worked in the serial 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain'.  Sakshi remained in news for different. At the time of 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' she got involved in a big controversy because of the scene.

 The longest intimate scene of about 17 minutes was shot between Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. This type of scene hardly happened for the first time when someone would have given a liplock scene on TV. This scene became very viral on social media, due to which a lot of controversy also happened. At that time the audience was not ready for such scenes. After that, the producer of the show Ekta Kapoor herself came forward and apologized, and also said that it was her fault.

On the career front, Sakshi Tanvar has featured in various serials like 'Dangal' with Aamir Khan, in which she appeared in the character of Aamir's wife. Apart from this, he has also worked in the film 'Mohalla Assi' with Sunny Deol. Sakshi is rarely seen on TV now. Sakshi is not married yet but has a daughter. She adopted a 9-month-old daughter at the age of 50.
