Priyanka Chopra’s exit from 'Bharat' on a sudden note giving space to a lot of rumors. Though the director Ali Abbas Zafar hinted that the actress moved out because of her forthcoming marriage with her rumored boyfriend Nick Jonas, other sources claimed that the Desi Girl was not comfortable with the multicast that is involved in the project.
It was also claimed that the lead role and Bollywood’s ‘Wanted’ man, Salman Khan is upset with Priyanka and vowed to never ever work with her. But His father Salim Khan in an interview with Spotboye rubbished all these news while expressing that such things are common in the film industry and nobody is upset with her for this back out. “It’s okay whatever happened. Priyanka is not doing Bharat, let her be. Such things happen in our industry.” Salim Khan stated.
He further added that “Nope, it’s not the nth hour. And I repeat, such things happen- sometimes they happen for date issues, or the role, or even the money aspect. Aur Kabhi aadmi ki kuch apni majbooriyan hoti hai (People have their own reasons). I haven’t yet got into the details of why Priyanka left Bharat, but we shall soon cast someone else. We are not upset with Priyanka. Salman Khan is also not upset,”
When asked about who will be the next replacement for Priyanka he said: “Koi bhi aa jayega (uski jagah par). Bahut saare log hain. (Anyone can replace her. There are many people).”
Worthy to mention here that the director of the movie recently confirmed the news of Katrina playing the female protagonist of the movie. In an alleged interview, Ali asserted, "I am extremely excited to work with Katrina and Salman again. We have had exciting collaborations in the past. Katrina got on board in the nick of time for this project,”
