Salman Khan breaks silence on Dabangg 3 shooting controversy in Maheshwar

Bollywood star Salman Khan is busy shooting for Dabangg 3 in Madhya Pradesh and the frenzy has hit the roof as fans flocked to see a glimpse of him. The photos and videos from the sets is going viral on the internet. The Dabangg actor had posted a video saying that they have reached their birthplace for the shoot of the third installment of this cop franchise. He captioned the video, "Back in our birthplace for #Dabangg3 shoot @arbaazkhanofficial". But the film has now come under fire and has given birth to a row after photographs of a Shivling covered with wooden planks went viral on the social media.

According to the reports,  the set was created on the banks of the river Narmada in Maheshwar, where the unit placed a bench over a Shivling on the Ghat. Pictures which went viral created a ruckus and got embroiled in a political controversy. As per report,  BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma, in a statement, demanded registration of an FIR against those behind the incident, which he claimed, showed disrespect to Lord Shiva. Finally  Salman now has issued a clarification to the local media.

The actor said the Shivling was covered with wooden planks to protect the idol and maintain its sanctity. The act in no way meant to hurt anyone's religious sentiments. The actor even assured that the planks were removed after the shooting.
