Salman-Vivek expressed grief over the death of General Bipin Rawat

Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat has passed away. He died in a helicopter accident. General Rawat was on a helicopter with 14 Indian Air Force (IAF) men besides his wife. The helicopter crashed in the Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu in the afternoon last Wednesday. The Mi-series helicopter crashed in the Nilgiri shortly after taking off from the Sulur Army Base.

Thirteen people are said to have died in the accident while 1 is undergoing treatment after suffering severe burns. Salman Khan has now expressed grief and tweeted over the tragic incident. Salman Khan in his tweet on the passing away of General Bipin Rawat wrote, "Very sad to hear about this tragic accident in which we lost General Bipin Rawat, his wife and other armed forces personnel. My thoughts, my prayers are with their families". Bollywood celebs like Vivek Oberoi, Kabir Bedi and Sophie Choudhary have also tweeted tributes to General Bipin Rawat.

In fact, Vivek Oberoi wrote in his tweet, "Deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat. Sir, we salute you for the selfless service of the motherland for 4 decades. I join the nation in mourning the loss of one of India's finest soldiers. Apart from him, actress Sophie Choudhary took to Twitter to express her grief and wrote 'Deepest condolences'.
