New Delhi: In view of the increasing activism of the BJP regarding Muslims, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and Sambhal MLA Iqbal Mehmood has given an objectionable statement. Accusing the BJP of worshipping Godse, he has said that no matter how hard the BJP tries, Muslims will not vote for them. Not only this, he has called Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati a 'coward'.

SP leader Iqbal Mehmood has said that the biggest anti-Muslim party is none other than the BJP. He has said that 'Whoever is a true Muslim, he will never vote for BJP.' He also said that 'Those who worship Nathuram Godse, who killed Mahatma Gandhi, Muslims can never trust them.' Not only this, Iqbal Mehmood has claimed that BSP supremo Mayawati is afraid of central investigating agencies like CBI and ED. Hence, she never speaks against the BJP.

Actually, in the past, BJP has done two programs to bring Pasmanda Muslims with them in Lucknow, the capital of UP. In one of these programs, UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya had said about Pasmanda Muslims that SP, BSP and Congress have been in power many times with their votes, but no party has given their rights to Pasmanda Muslims. Maurya had also said that the Pasmanda Muslims should try trusting the BJP once. If he takes one step forward, BJP will take him 10 steps ahead. He had also said that in the coming time, BJP will organize conferences of Pasmanda Muslims at the level of Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayat.

Let us tell you that due to these big programs of the BJP, the opposition parties fear that a large section of Muslims may go with the BJP in the upcoming civic elections and then in the Lok Sabha elections. UP Minority Morcha president Kunwar Basit Ali had claimed that 80 per cent of the Muslim population in the state are Pasmanda Muslims. In such a situation, if the BJP is able to win these Muslims in its favour, then the BJP can register an even bigger victory in the civic and Lok Sabha elections.
