Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) Lok Sabha MP from Sambhal, Dr Shafiqur Rahman Burke, is now lashing out at the government over the population law. The SP MP said that the BJP is raising the issue of the population with the intention of taking political advantage. Burke advised the government to work for training and employment instead of population law. It may be recalled that on Monday, CM Yogi Adityanath had said that there should not be an imbalance of population. The increase in the population of the same class will create chaos. There is a need for awareness of population control.

SP Lok Sabha MP Shafiqur Rahman Barq said that the creation of children is not related to human beings, but it is related to Allah. Allah sends with him the livelihood of the child that he produces. Instead of bringing this law, the government should focus on training and the government should make all arrangements for every person, big and small. If everyone gets an education, the issue of the population will be solved on its own.  

Burke explained the intention behind this law was to take political advantage of the BJP in the 2024 election. He further said that unemployment and poverty are rampant across the country and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are on its head. So, the BJP wants to change the attitude of the people to garner votes. It's a human matter, but not everything should be looked at from this point of view.
