Unnao case: SP launches ' Sarkar vs Nari' movement to protest against government

Lucknow: The flames of the Upanav rape case have reached the political corridors. The Samajwadi Party (SP) will agitate across the state on August 9 to lodge its protest over the issue. During this period, SP workers will perform in each district of UP. The movement has been dubbed 'Sarkar vs. Nari' by the SP. SP President Akhilesh Yadav is said to be leading the state wide movement.

On the other hand, BJP has expelled MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar from Bangaramu. Meanwhile, the apex court will hear the case again on Friday. A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi today ordered the victim to be admitted to AIIMS and transfer her uncle from Rae Bareli jail to Tihar jail in Delhi.

The court also sought the opinion of the family on the issue of recruitment of the victim to AIIMS. On Thursday, the apex court had ordered the transfer of all the five cases related to the case from UP to Delhi. The first five cases- the rape of the victim, the second case of gang rape, the third case - the arrest and beating of the victim's father in a false case, the fourth case - the death in the custody of the victim's father and the fifth case - is road accident. These 5 cases have been transferred to the Tis Hazari Court. The five cases have been transferred to the court of District Judge Dharmesh Sharma.
