Samantha Ruth Prabhu is expected to join Bollywood star Varun Dhawan in the Indian spin-off of Anthony and Joe Russo's American drama series 'Citadel,' according to industry sources.The Russo brothers are most recognised for their work on the 'Avengers' franchise. Samantha and Varun appear to have made a deal with OTT behemoth Amazon Prime Video for the interesting project.

Samantha collaborated with Raj and DK on the highly acclaimed series 'The Family Man 2', and they will helm the Indian adaption of 'Citadel.'Varun will be working with the director pair for the first time, and it would be his first time onscreen alongside Samantha from Telugu films. The surprising and novel coupling has piqued the interest of fans! The Indian version will be released in 2022.

'Desi girl' Priyanka Chopra Jonas has an important role alongside Hollywood actor Richard Madden in the American version of 'Citadel.'The show is characterised as "an immense and ground-breaking worldwide event encompassing a mothership series and various local language satellite series," as well as a "action-packed spy story with a fascinating emotional heart."

The main series is now under development in the United Kingdom, with an April 2022 premiere date. Varun and Samantha, on the other hand, were both seen in the gym on Christmas morning, according to their Instagram posts.
