Samantha Ruth Prabhu, counsel has now cited the recent 'permanent injunction' case filed by Shilpa Shetty as a reference point for Samantha's case. Shilpa Shetty had approached the Bombay High Court after her husband Raj Kundra was arrested in a pornography case. The court passed a permanent injunction order, which prohibited media outlets from reporting derogatory reports about him.
The Kukatpally court had rejected Samantha's appeal to take legal action against those who claimed that he had defamed her. The actress wanted legal action to be taken against her defamers, she was instead asked to apologize to them. The court had cited that celebrities share personal details, and then file defamation cases, which was not correct. Samantha had to bring her own lawyer to her defense.
Samantha's legal team indicated that she may approach the court for a similar ruling in her defamation case. The court has now reserved the verdict on Samantha's defamation case and it will be heard soon. The announcement of Samantha's divorce came as a shock to everyone following which several websites and YouTube channels started speculating related to her personal life and rumors of the actress having an affair with her partners.
