Mumbai: Former zonal director of NCB Mumbai, Sameer Wankhede has been summoned to appear before the Mumbai Police. He has been summoned on 23 February at Kopari police station in Thane, Mumbai. This summons has been issued in the case of forgery and fraud for taking a bar license. A complaint has also been lodged against him in this incident in the past. The Thane District Magistrate had also recently canceled the license of the bar present in Navi Mumbai in this case. Sameer Wankhede had filed a petition in the High Court against the order of the District Magistrate, which has been canceled by the court.
The Bombay High Court refused to hear Wankhede's petition and asked for the process to be completed. The High Court bench said that how the list was done without mentioning the petition. How can an influential person do this? The court will not hear the petition. Apart from this, he had also petitioned against the arrest in this case. The opposition party has sought time to file a reply in this case. He told the court that he was a minor when the crime took place. Now a case has been registered against him due to politics.
The same Mumbai Police has filed a complaint against Sameer Wankhede for getting a bar license by hiding his age. The case was registered at Kopari police station in Thane district of Maharashtra. Earlier, Maharashtra cabinet minister Nawab Malik had alleged that Sameer Wankhede had a bar in Navi Mumbai. For this he was licensed at a young age. Malik had claimed that Wankhede was 17 when he received a bar license at Hotel Sadguru in Navi Mumbai. Along with this, it has been found in the preliminary investigation that Sameer Wankhede was given a license for a bar and restaurant on October 27, 1997. At that time Sameer Wankhede was only 17 years old. Whereas the minimum age for getting a bar license is 21 years.
