Mumbai: Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik is making the most headlines these days. In fact, he is constantly targeting NCB, Sameer Wankhede and his family over the drugs case. Sameer Wankhede's father Dhyandev Wankhede has now filed a defamation case against Nawab Malik in the Bombay High Court. Sameer Wankhede is the Zonal Director of Mumbai NCB and Aryan Khan was the investigating officer in all Bollywood related cases including Nawab Malik's son-in-law Sameer Khan. However, now 6 cases including Aryan Khan have been withdrawn from Sameer.

Sameer Wankhede's lawyer Arshad Sheikh said, "Nawab Malik is calling Wankhede's family fraud and questioning his religion saying that he is not a Hindu. He is calling the entire family fraud every day. He is also ruining the career of his daughter Yasmin, a criminal lawyer and does not advocate in a narcotics case.'' Not only that, the defamation case says, "Nawab Malik, inspired by prejudice, has caused irreparable damage to the name, character, reputation and social image of the plaintiff and his family members.''

On the other hand, Dhyandev demands that Malik, his party leaders and all others be barred from writing, speaking or publishing anything objectionable, defamatory material in the media against him and his family. In fact, Dhyandev has appealed that "the High Court should declare that Malik's statements, allegations, whether written or verbal or made by him or his family on social media, are tyrannical and defamatory in nature. Not only that, but Dhyandev also demanded the removal of interviews and statements elsewhere, including electronic and social media.''
