Patna: The book of Daya Prakash Sinha, which has been conferred with the Sahitya Akademi and Padma Shri awards, has created a ruckus. It is being said that a case has been registered in Patna for comparing the Chakravarti Emperor Ashoka to the cruel ruler Aurangzeb in the book. BJP state president Sanjay Jaiswal has filed a case in case at Kotwali police station in Patna. A case has been registered in the case under the charge of spreading hatred.

Earlier, JDU National President Lalan Singh had objected to Daya Prakash's statement. Lalan Singh had said that Priyadarshi Emperor Ashok Maurya was the architect of a great and united India. The use of derogatory words about him is intolerable. It cannot be forgiven. Thereafter, JDU leader Upendra Kushwaha also raised the issue.

The same deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi also tweeted that we strongly condemn any comparison of Emperor Ashoka, the originator of non-violence and Buddhism, to a cruel ruler like Aurangzeb. The author who made objectionable remarks on Emperor Ashoka today has nothing to do with the BJP nor does his statement need to be weighed without any reason. Meanwhile, former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi also jumped into the matter on Thursday. Manjhi tweeted that some people are insulting Emperor Ashoka only because he belonged to a backward caste. Such feudal people do not want a Dalit, tribal and backward child to sit at the top of power. The President is requested to withdraw the Padma Samman of those who commented on Emperor Ashoka, a symbol of our bravery.
