Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: Improved Camera Features Coming Soon

Samsung is starting to roll out a significant software update for its flagship Galaxy S24 Ultra, aimed at resolving various camera-related issues reported by users since its launch in January. Despite several One UI updates this year, users have continued to face problems like shutter lag and motion blur.

According to tipster Ice Universe, the upcoming August update will introduce improvements in several camera functionalities. These enhancements will focus on refining white balance, optimizing HDR, and reducing overprocessing in both images and videos. However, the update will not address issues related to telephoto and night-mode images captured beyond 10x optical zoom, where photos at 9.9x magnification reportedly appear clearer than those at 10x due to increased noise.

Initial indications of this update surfaced in May when Ice Universe hinted at significant camera improvements with the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It was noted that the update was in early testing stages and would undergo thorough testing before being released to the public. Speculation also suggests a possible unveiling of this update alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10.

In recent months, Samsung has expanded its Galaxy AI features—including Circle to Search, Live Call Translate, Chat Assist, Note Assist, and Generative Edit—to a wider range of devices. However, some of these features may not be available on older models due to hardware limitations.

With this upcoming update, Samsung aims to improve the user experience for Galaxy S24 Ultra owners by addressing long-standing camera issues, reinforcing its commitment to quality and innovation in smartphone technology.
