Samsung has announced that it will be rolling out the Android 9.0 Pie update to its budget Galaxy M series of smartphones in the coming days. According to the sources, Samsung will roll out Android 9 Pie to the Galaxy M10, M20, and M30 starting June 3.

With the new software update, Galaxy M10, M20 and M30 will have better performance, some security patches, and other important improvements. Earlier this year, Samsung updated the Galaxy J8, Galaxy J6 and the Galaxy On7 Prime to Android 9.0 Pie. Several Galaxy A series devices that were launched this year came with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Samsung’s One UI on top. However, the Galaxy M30, M20, and M10 were launched with Android 8.1 Oreo.

The smartphone-maker claims that the Galaxy M series is specially created for the millennial with powerful display, big battery, and a great camera. Galaxy M30 sports a triple camera and 6.4-inch super AMOLED FHD+ infinity-U display. It is powered by Samsung’s latest Exynos 7904 octa-core processor for enhanced user experience, network speed, multitasking, and low power consumption.

The Galaxy M10, M20, and M30 are Samsung’s answers to the rising presence of Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, Honor, and Oppo in India. Even brands like Realme have threatened Samsung’s position in the country due to its high-end smartphone offerings at low- to mid-range prices.
