The corona epidemic has created a stir all over the world and the lives of people are being badly affected these days due to corona infection in India. People are also dying due to shortage of oxygen at many places in the country. In such a situation, tech companies have extended their hand for assistance. South Korean tech company Samsung has also announced assistance.
According to Samsung, the company will donate Rs 37 crore to fight corona virus in India. The company has said that the fund will be given to the Central and State Governments to provide necessary medical equipments in the healthcare sectors. Samsung has said that the decision has been taken by the company after discussions with several stakeholders in India. The local administration has also been contacted for the same.
Samsung has announced to give $3 million out of this $5 million fund to the Central Government, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu Government under its Citizenship Initiative. Samsung will provide a remaining $2 million worth of medical spy. These include 100 oxygen concentraters, 3,000 oxygen cylinders and 10 lakh LDS (low dead space syringes). All these will be given in UP and Tamil Nadu. According to Samsung, the use of the vaccine will be better optimized due to low dead space syringes.
