Sania's husband and Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik is in Sialkot, Pakistan with her mother. There is a situation of lockdown not only in India but worldwide due to Coronavirus. Sania was in America before the lockdown due to Coronavirus. After a historic victory in the Fed Cup playoffs, Sania was to go to America to play the Indian Wells tournament but the tournament was canceled by the time she arrived. She returned to India while Shoaib was playing Pakistan Super League at that time. Sania said, 'Shoaib Malik is in Pakistan and I am here. This is a difficult time for us because we have a small child. I do not know when Izhan will be able to meet his father again. We are both very positive human beings. Shoaib's mother is 65 years old and lives alone in Sialkot, so she needed Shoaib more. We did what seemed right. I hope that we will soon come out safe from these epidemics.

Sania said that these days she is only thinking about her family. He said, 'I don't usually worry about things. But a few days ago at night, I was very nervous thinking about the future. When there is a small child and an old parent at home, then you just think about it, the idea of work and tennis does not come in the heart. Sania returned to the court in January this year, two years after becoming a mother. He won the doubles title of the Hobart International Tennis Tournament. Along with this, he also gave India the first time in the playoffs by performing brilliantly in the Fed Cup, due to which he has been given the Fed Cup Heart Award.
