Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor is making her debut in Bollywood as an assistant director in cousin sister Janhvi Kapoor's next film Kargil Girl. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Sanjay Kapoor had stated that Shanaya is getting ready for a Bollywood career and will work hard to land a good project. Currently, she is working as an assistant in the upcoming biopic of IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena.

Posting a picture of Shanaya from the sets of the film, proud daddy Sanjay Kapoor wrote: “My hard-working daughter shooting in 41 degrees as an assistant director. Warm welcome to the film industry.” In pic, Shanaya’s face is covered with a pink scarf and she is wearing sunglasses and a cap to shield her from the sun. The biopic is being shot in Lucknow.

Janhvi will be playing the role of Gunjan Saxena who was one of India’s first female combat aviators to be posted in Kargil during the 1999 war. The shooting of the film began in February this year.

On the work front, Along with Janhvi, the film will also see Pankaj Tripathi play the role of Gunjan’s father and Angad Bedi in the character of her brother.
