Lucknow: Nishad Party chief Sanjay Nishad has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suffered in Panchayat elections due to the displeasure of the Nishad community. At the same time, he has said that his society demands that the BJP make him deputy CM. He has announced that his alliance with the BJP will continue.

Sanjay Nishad further said, "We were with the BJP, we are still there and will continue to be so." However, at the same time, he warned, "We are with the BJP, but our society is moving away from the BJP." He alleged that "Our society has been cheated by the Congress, The SP and BSP, which is why they now feel that the BJP is also cheating. CM Yogi Adityanath's intention was correct earlier, he had promised reservation for Nishads, he had also announced in the House, made promises at a function in Lucknow. Now there is a BJP government in Delhi, but there is no talk of reservation".

Nishad claimed that this is why the BJP has suffered in the Zilla Panchayat elections. He demanded that reservation be given to the Nishad community at the earliest and the cases registered against them should be returned. He also expressed hope that BJP will make him deputy CM. He clarified however that the demand to form deputy CM belongs to his society.
