Mumbai: Senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has made a big allegation. He has said that the phone tapping of opposition leaders is taking place in Goa. The phones of MGP leader Sudin Dhavalikar, Vijay Sardesai of Goa Forward, Congress leaders Digambar Kamat and Girish Chodankar are being tapped. Sanjay Raut said that the way the mobiles of Maharashtra leaders were tapped, the same pattern of phone surveillance is being repeated in Goa. The country wants to know who is behind this tapping Goa's 'Rashmi Shukla'?

Further, Sanjay Raut said that the phones of many leaders in this country who are the leaders of the opposition and especially wherever elections are being held are being tapped. Let us know that a second FIR has been recently registered against senior IPS officer Rashmi Shukla in a phone tapping case in Maharashtra. A complaint was lodged against her at a police station in south Mumbai. The first FIR was lodged at Colaba police station.

The same mobile tapping was allegedly done when Rashmi Shukla was the head of Maharashtra's state intelligence department (SID). At that time, the BJP was in power in the state and the Pune police had lodged an FIR against Rashmi Shukla in connection with the alleged tapping of Congress leader Nana Patole's mobile phone. Earlier, Congress had accused the BJP and the state administration of phone tapping. State Congress president Girish Chodankar said that the mobiles of our party leaders are being tapped by a private agency by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Chodankar said that after toppling the government in Karnataka, it was found that it was involved in espionage. Independent candidates and BJP men are also in touch with the Congress party leadership over a possible defection ahead of the results of the Assembly elections on March 10. Chodankar also pointed out that the right to privacy is a fundamental right and no one has the right to tap mobiles illegally.
