Mumbai: Shiv Sena, which has played a key role in the state's politics for the past five decades, is now going to be active in national politics. The big statement was made by senior party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on the occasion of Shiv Sena's 55th foundation day. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Raut said that when Shiv Sena was established, people said Shiv Sena will not be able to go beyond Mumbai-Thane. Some people said the party would be over in 5-6 months. But this Shiv Sena spread all over Maharashtra.

Sanjay Raut further said that 'Shiv Sena then crossed the state border and reached Delhi. Now my Maharashtra will be needed and echoed in the throne of Delhi. Shiv Sena will play an important role in the national politics in the future. Raut further said that many political parties collapsed over time before and after Shiv Sena. But the Shiv Sena is still moving ahead because of the way Balasaheb Thackeray placed his hand on the backs of the smallest Shiv Sainiks. Shiv Sena still comes forward for Hindutva".

Sanjay Raut said that "Even  today the attention of marathi man comes first before Shiv Sena. Both 'Hindutva' and 'Marathi man' are still of utmost importance to the Shiv Sena. Today, if a party stands firmly in the country and the world as a loud voice of Hindutva, it is the Shiv Sena. If a Marathi man sees his base in a party, it is Shiv Sena".
