Sankashti Chaturthi Katha - One day Mata Parvati was sitting with Lord Shiva on the banks of the river. She wished to play Chopra, but there was no third other than him, who should decide to win the game. In such a situation, Goddess Parvati and Shiva ji burnt into a clay idol and gave her the role of decider. In the game, Mata Parvati won three to four consecutive times, but once the child accidentally defeated Mata Parvati and declared Lord Shiva victorious. Parvati became angry with him. Angry Parvati ji made her child lame. He apologized to his mother, but he said that the curse cannot be withdrawn now, but there is a solution. On the day of Sankashti, some girls come here to worship, to ask them the fast and the method of worship. You too fast and worship likewise. She did the same as told by Mata Parvati. Pleased with his worship, Lord Ganesha removes his troubles.
