The festival of Sankashti Chaturthi is going to be celebrated on 31 January this year. In many cities, this festival is also known as Sakat Chauth, Sankat Chauth, Vakratundi Chaturthi, Mahi, and Tilakuta Chauth. What to do on this day-

* Remember, get up early on Shri Ganesh Chaturthi and offer water to the sun after bathing.

* Chant Om Surya Namah: Mantra on this day.

* You can bathe the Shriganesh statue in the home temple with Ganges water and honey.

* On this day offer sindoor, durva, flowers, rice, fruits, janeu, prasad, etc. to Ganapati Bappa.

* On this day, worshiping chanting the mantra should be worshiped.

* It is said that on this day, you should chant the mantra of Lord Shiva, Samb Sadasivaya Namah 108 times. With this, water should be offered with a copper pot on the Shivling.

* On this day after worship, needy people should donate money and food grains around the house and also donate money in a cowshed.

* Bread or green grass can be given to a cow on this day.
