Sankashti Chaturthi is on 8 June. It is said that with the blessings of Ganapati on Sankashti Chaturthi, the ongoing crisis in the life of the devotees will end, today we are going to share the story of Sankashti Chaturthi.

Mythology - The invitation of the marriage of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi went to all the deities. The wedding invitation was given by Lord Vishnu. Preparations for the procession started. At that time all the gods were getting ready to go to the procession, but everyone saw that Ganesh Ji is not present on this auspicious occasion. This became a matter of discussion and the Gods asked Lord Vishnu the reason for this.

When Ganeshji reached there, he was asked to take care of the house. The procession went on when Naradji saw that Ganeshji was sitting at the door, then he went to Ganeshji and asked the reason. Ganeshji started saying that Lord Vishnu has insulted me a lot. Naradji said that if you send your mouse army forward, then it will dig the way by which their chariot will sink into the earth.

On hearing this, Ganapati sent his mouse army forward and the army did the same. When the procession came out from there, the wheels of the chariots got stuck in the earth. Everyone took their own measures, but the wheels did not come out, instead, they broke from place to place. No one was able to understand what to do now. Then Naradji said- you did not do good by insulting Ganesha. If he will be persuaded, then your work can be proved and this crisis can be averted.

Lord Shiva sent his emissary Nandi and he brought Ganesha. Ganesha was worshipped with respect, the wheels of the chariot emerged. Now the wheels of the chariot got out. Khati was working in a nearby field, he was called. On seeing it, Khati fixed all the wheels. Khati started saying that O Gods! You must not have celebrated Ganesha first and not worshipped him, that is why this crisis has come with you. We are foolish ignorant, yet we worship Ganesha first, pay attention to him. You, people, are deities, yet how did you forget Ganesha? Now if you go by chanting Lord Shri Ganesh, then all your work will be done and no crisis will come. Saying this, the procession departed from there and after all returned home safely.
