Yesterday, CBI counsel YJ Dastur completed his arguments before the bench of Justices S Munshi and S Dasgupta opposing the bail of Rajiv Kumar. The Bench adjourned the case for the next day after hearing the arguments of the counsel of the investigating agency.

Earlier on Thursday, Rajiv Kumar's lawyers had submitted their arguments in favor of bail before the Division Bench. On September 25, at the request of IPS Rajiv Kumar's lawyer, only the lawyers involved in the case were allowed to appear in the camera proceedings hearing from the court. Earlier, on September 21, the Alipur District and Sessions Court dismissed Kumar's arrest petition.
