New Delhi: Today is the 70th death anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, known as India's first Home Minister and Iron Man. Today, on the occasion of his death anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have bowed to him. PM Narendra Modi has tweeted in which he has written, "Tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man who laid the foundation of a strong and prosperous India on his death anniversary. His path will always inspire us to protect the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country."


Simultaneously, Home Minister Amit Shah also tweeted. He wrote, 'Life and personality of Sardar Patel Ji is so vast, it is not possible to get it into words. Sardar Saheb is a symbol of unity and power of India, he solved a complex India by solving complex problems. His steadfast leadership and national dedication will always guide us."

 


Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was born on 31 October 1875 in Kheda, Gujarat. While there, he died on 15 December 1950 in Mumbai. He suffered a heart attack during that time and died due to this.
