Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh ATS investigating the Slammy conversion racket has arrested Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui's aide Sarfaraz Ali Jafri in a major operation on Thursday (October 7, 2021). He has been nabbed from the Amroha district. He had been making people Muslims along with Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui, accused of running India's 'largest conversion syndicate' and had been involved since 2016.

Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui, one of the largest clerics in western Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by ATS last month. ATS IG GK Goswami revealed that information about Sarfaraz Ali Jafri was received during the interrogation of Maulana Siddiqui. "Jafri worked at Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui's Global Peace Centre," he said. He was also a member of the Revert, Rihab and Dawa WhatsApp groups. It was through this that his gang spread religious hatred as well as lured people into making them Muslims.

According to ATS, Jafri, who is involved in the religious conversion racket, is a resident of Jamia Nagar. He reportedly handled the affairs of Kaleem Siddiqui's Global Peace Centre. Along with this, he also operated the Humanity for All Organization based in New Delhi, which converted people under the guise of social service.
