The WWE has been making inroads into the Asian market, particularly in India and recently signed the first female Indian wrestler Kavita Devi to a developmental contract. Besides, The Singh Brothers (Samir & Sunil) alongside fellow Indo-Canadian Superstar Jinder Mahal have been prominently featured on WWE’s main roster programming; particularly after The Modern Day Maharaja captured the WWE Championship earlier this year.

The WWE is set to put up a Supershow in New Delhi, India on December 9th, and the WWE Superstars have seemingly been experiencing the Indian culture during their brief visit to the country. ‘The Legit Boss’ Sasha Banks was with Kavita Devi and The Singh Brothers ahead of WWE Live India, trying out a few sarees. It was then that Samir & Sunil Singh introduced Banks in their typical Singh Brothers style—

“I think we found The Modern Day Maharani! The Beyonce Of Bollywood, Sasha Banks, you’re looking good girl.” “I think we’ve found the next Aishwarya Rai, next Priyanka Chopra (Indian Bollywood actresses). Shahrukh Khan, I think you found your next leading lady.”

Furthermore, Banks also showed off a few Bhangra moves with The Singh Brothers. Sasha Banks and several other RAW Superstars compete in WWE’s live event at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi, India on December 9th. The show will be headlined by a match between Jinder Mahal and Triple H.

It’s great to see Banks having a good time in India. Given the challenging, ever-changing world of professional wrestling, the WWE Superstars never seem to let the grueling nature of this business faze them in the slightest. Perhaps the WWE could use The Modern Day Maharani as a future angle for Banks
