Abu Dhabi: The Islamic country Saudi Arabia, known for its conservative thinking, has taken a historic decision regarding the Abaya traditionally worn in the country. This decision is also very important because there has been a lot of uproar in India regarding this. Actually, the Saudi Arabian government has banned the wearing of Abayas by girls in the examination hall. Please tell that Abaya is a type of burqa, in which the whole body of women and girls is covered. Abaya is the traditional dress of women in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Education and Training Evolution Commission (ETEC) has announced that girls will not be allowed to wear an abaya in the examination hall during exams. ETEC has stressed that the girl students must follow the rules of school uniforms while appearing for the examination. ETEC has said that the school uniform should be according to the rules made by the government, along with this the dress should also be in favor of public decorum. Explain that ETEC was earlier known as Education Evaluation Authority. It is a Saudi Arabian government organization responsible for planning, evaluating, and accrediting the educational and training system in Saudi Arabia in coordination with the Ministry of Education. ETEC is legally and financially independent and reports directly to the PM.

Hijab Controversy in India:-

Let us tell you that when a college in Karnataka was forbidden to wear hijab inside the classroom in India, there were a lot of ruckuses. Many Muslim girls had left the exam. She was demanding to give the exam wearing a hijab only. A hearing was also held in the Karnataka High Court in this matter, the court had said that Hijab is not an essential part of Islam. In this, many opposition parties, including the Congress, strongly supported the hijab, but no one tried to convince the girls who were skipping exams and asked them to focus on their education. It was said from her side that, being a Muslim, hijab is mandatory for her. First hijab then education, like slogans were also raised. Even Al-Zawahiri, the leader of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, supported Muslim girls on this demand.

After this, the Muslim side changed its argument and called it a matter of girls' choice, but they were told that, in school-college, the dress code uniform is followed, so that all students look the same. But, the Muslim side did not agree with the High Court's decision and filed a petition in the Supreme Court. However, after a lot of hearings, the Supreme Court also said that wearing a hijab in the classroom is wrong and asked to wear a uniform. However, the ruckus did not stop even after this and the decision of the Supreme Court was also challenged in a larger bench, which is still pending. Some non-Muslims who were even killed during this hijab controversy had filled the post on social media regarding Hijab. Meanwhile, anti-hijab demonstrations started in Iran and Muslim women there started burning hijabs on the streets and started agitating for liberation from the fundamentalist regime. In view of this attitude of Iranian women towards hijab, this matter has gone on the back burner in India for the time being.
