Saudi Arabian leaders meet with Biden over bilateral ties

RIYADH:  The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said that Saudi Arabian officials met with US Vice President Joe Biden in the city of Jeddah to discuss their bilateral relations.

At the Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud welcomed Biden, who had flown in for a two-day state visit. The meeting was also attended by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud,  Saudi Press Agency said in a report.

King Salman and the US President discussed ways to improve ties between Riyadh and Washington in order to advance both nations' interests in a number of areas during their meeting, Saudi media reported.

Biden's first journey to the Middle East since assuming office ends in Saudi Arabia. The US President visited Israel and the West Bank during the trip, which started on Wednesday and is scheduled to end on Saturday.

On Saturday, Joe  Biden will participate in a joint press conference with the heads of Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq and the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
