Saudi-led airstrike hits Houthi-controlled camp in Sanna

SANAA:  TheSaudi-led Arab coalition conducted airstrikes on a military camp controlled by the Houthis in Yemen's capital Sanaa. On Sunday, airstrikes targeted a camp in the western section of Sanaa, prompting ambulances to rush to the scene, According to the Saba news.

The Houthi media claimed that the airstrikes had caused considerable damage to civilians' homes and property, but provided no further details.

Meanwhile, the coalition said in a statement that its aircraft damaged four warehouses in the Houthi military transport base where bomb-laden drones were launched. The airstrikes came only hours after the alliance said it intercepted and destroyed three Houthi-launched drones headed for Saudi Arabia's southern cities from Yemen.

Yemen's Houthi group, which is backed by Iran, has recently increased cross-border drone and missile strikes on Saudi cities. The Houthi rebels launched a major onslaught against the Saudi-backed Yemeni government army in February of last year, with the goal of capturing the oil-rich region of Marib.
