Asian Games 2018: shooter Saurabh bags third gold for India, Abhishek clinches bronze

JAKARTA: Indian players are delivering phenomenal performances in the Asian games in Indonesia. After Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat, Shooter Saurabh Chaudhary clinches Gold in the 10 m air pistol event. Abhishek Verma also clinches bronze in the 10 m air pistol event. With this gold the India gold medal count reach to 3 and its is the 7 medal overall.

Soaurabh has made the India proud at the international level. Olympic Gold winner Abhinav Bindra took to Twitter and congratulate the 16 year old shooter. He tweeted Superb show by young Saurabh. Many many Congratulations. We must pledge support to these young athletes for a sustained period of time irrespective of results.  They have the ingredients for Olympic success. Needs persistent support irrespective.

India wins its first medal in Asian games

Indian shooters are performing very well in this Asian Games. Apurvi Chandela and Ravi Kumar had opened India's medals account in shooting with a bronze in 10m Air Rifle Team event. Deepak Kumar, meanwhile, earned his first medal at a major event by bagging a silver in the 10m Air Rifle individual event.

So far in this Tournament, India has bagged 03 gold, 02 silver and 02 bronze leading to total 07 medals.
