The holy month of Sawan continues and today is the third Monday of this holy month. Two Mondays have passed in the month of Sawan and two Mondays remain. This time the month of Sawan is of 5 Mondays. In the month of Sawan, Monday is of special importance. This time the importance of this third Monday of Sawan has increased considerably. Every year, on the new moon day of the month of Sawan, the new moon is celebrated as Hariyali Amavasya. It is also called Somavati Amavasya when Amavasya comes on Monday. Such an auspicious coincidence was made earlier in the year 2000 when the Hariyali Amavasya came on the Monday of Sawan.
The month of Sawan is the most loved month of Lord Shiva. In the month of Sawan, Shiva had drunk the poison emitted from the churning of the ocean and protected this creation. Since then, it was also known as Neelkanth. In this way, worship of Lord Shiva is done throughout the year, although the importance of worshiping Shiva on the Monday of Sawan and Sawan month increases even more.

On the third Monday of Sawan month, that is, today, devotees should first clean themselves with a bath, etc. to worship Shiva. After bathing, devotees should put Akshat, Bel leaves, flowers, and milk etc. in the returned copper. Now go to the Shiva temple and offer it on the Shivling.
