India witness many outrages due to the demand of reservation for one or other community. This time not for any caste or religion but for orphans Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was filed in Supreme Court to seek required benefits for these children who don’t have any kin who can help them to grow up.

Supreme Court heard the PIL and while taking action for the same issued a notice to the central government in which the apex court directed them to provide benefits to orphans.

Notably, the plea demanded all those benefits for orphans which are now available to minorities, SC's, ST's, OBCs and BPL categories.

With above services, the PIL also have an account for the demand of at least one orphanage in every district. Notably, states like Jharkhand only have the orphanage in two districts among its 23 districts.

The lawyer, Poulomi Shukla informed that “We have asked for reservations in education and job sectors for the orphans. I think that pre-matrix and post-matrix scholarships, education loans, finance, and credits must also be extended to this weakest section,”. The lawyer has pleaded apex court to look into the matter.
