SC dismissed Subramanian Swamy’s petition in Sunanda Pushkar murder case

Death case of Sunanda Pushkar has seen many phases in its two years. Notably, the wife of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on January 17, 2014was found dead in mysterious conditions five-star hotel’s suit that is located in Delhi.

On Friday the Supreme Court have dismissed a petition filed by Subramanian Swamy, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who sought a time-bound investigation into the matter. The apex court claimed that Delhi Police have already submitted a chargesheet in the case.

Recently on 5th July the Congress leader Tharoor have received anticipatory bail in the case with the bail bond of Rs.1 lakh. Later, the leader has filed an application at the Patiala House Court to seek the restriction on Delhi police so that they can’t share a copy of the chargesheet to any other party who is not related to the case. He stated the reason as the want of "fair trial" in the murder case.

He further states that he don’t want any misreporting" and "spreading of false information as the same will lead to undermining the power and authority of the legal process. While nodding to the leader’s plea the court issued a notice to the Delhi police regarding the same.
