Monday, 09 May 2016:,Supreme Court required reply from the Centre on a plea in search of CBI inquiry alongside Indian offshore bank account holders named in the Panama papers.

From the bench , justices Dipak Misra and Shiva Kirti Singh delivered notices to Centre and the CBI on the petition filed by advocate M L Sharma.

A Multi Agency Group (MAG) of several analytical actions has been formed by the government to go into the revelations made in the list which contains about 500 Indian entities.

The Panama Papers leaks hold an unparalleled amount of info, counting more than 11 million documents covering 2,10,000 companies in 21 offshore jurisdictions.

Each deal spans different authorities and may include multiple entities and individuals.
