As you may know, the air of Jammu and Kashmir is filled with a lot of tension.

Sources have informed that the Supreme Court shall conduct the hearing regarding the same on Monday.

The hearings shall be about the validity of Article 35-A of the Constitution.

Article 35-A allows special privileges to the residents of the Jammu Kashmir.

On Friday, the state government of Jammu and Kashmir had filed an application in the court to delay the hearingDineshwar Sharma, keeping in consideration upcoming panchayat and urban local body elections.

The Supreme Court has already canceled the hearing of the case in May. The reason it gave for the decision was that Dineshwar Sharma, the government-appointed interlocutor, was studying the case and shall find out solutions for the same. They said, in such circumstances, passing such an order could ruin a lot.

On the other hand, the Central government has decided that they would not file any counter affidavit and would leave it to the will of the Supreme Court, for whatever decision they feel shall be justified.

In the year 1954, a law was passed by the government of the country that all the people living in Jammu Kashmir during that time or even those people who had lived in the state 10 years after that, shall be considered the permanent residents of the state.
