New Delhi, India: The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said on Monday that scheduled international commercial passenger services to and from India will be suspended until further orders.

The Director-General of Civil Aviation, the competent authority has decided to extend the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India until further instructions, as part of a partial amendment of the circular dated 26.11.2021. This restriction does not apply to foreign all-cargo operations or flights that have been specially cleared by the DGCA, according to the circular.

Flights under the bubble arrangement, according to the DGCA, will not be affected.

India's prohibition on scheduled overseas passenger flights lasted till February 28 of this year. International flights have been stopped in India since March 23 due to the COVID pandemic, however special passenger flights have been operating since July 2020 under bilateral air bubble agreements.
