Bhopal: At a meeting of the Crisis Management Committee in MP, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said schools are being closed till January 31. It has been decided to close schools from Class I to XII from January 15. In addition, some more stringent decisions have been taken. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan held a meeting with the district, development block, village-level crisis management committees through video conferencing from CM Niwas. This included Ministers, MLAs and other public representatives, distinguished citizens of the state government including Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. He expressed his displeasure to several districts over-vaccination. When several cities tried to misconstrue the data on vaccination, Chief Minister Chouhan said the Data of the Government of India cannot be challenged.

CM Chouhan said efforts are being made to ensure that economic activities do not stop and people continue to function. Their closure worries the poor and the daily earners. But covid etiquette should be followed. Crisis management committees have been entrusted with the responsibility of making arrangements for corona tests, contract tracing, medicines and the third wave can save the people of the state. It will also be the responsibility of the committees not to gather congestion.

These were the major announcements:-
- Schools will remain closed from 15th January to 31st January. Government and private schools will remain closed during this period.
- There will be no fairs, commercial or religious of all kinds.
- Processions or political social gatherings will also be restricted.
- The hall will have programmes with 50% of the capacity of the individuals present.
- The number up to 250 in the wedding or other event hall or open will be allowed.
- Sports activities will be accompanied by 50% of the players.
- Sports activities will take place without spectators.
- Pre-board exams were scheduled to be held from January 20 but their format will also be changed.
