School shut as Hindon airbase on alert

Friday, 06 May 2016:Police called an alert at the airbase of Hindon,about 30 km north of New Delhi, later two unrecognized men were spotted on the premises instantaneous.

Uttar Pradesh police officials said, “, one of the men had been detained by the air force authorities and was being questioned. The whereabouts of the second person remains unknown.”

Ashish Shrivastav said, “Air force authorities shut down two Kendriya Vidyalayas on the premises as a precautionary measure. The men entered the base around 2 am”

As per the unconfirmed report, “the incident may be a mock drill by the air force.”

Indian defence formations have been on alert since the January violence by Pakistan-based Jaish militants on the Pathankot air base in Punjab that wrecked peace talks between India and Pakistan.
