Madhya Pradesh, MP State Education Department has released a notice stating that students of Classes 9 to 12 cannot be stopped to appear in the examinations due to default in fee payment. In the official notice, the education department has confirmed that the order is applicable for CBSE, ICSE and MP State Board 2021.

Minister of State for School Education and General Administration, Indersingh Parmar, has clearly said the children would not be barred from appearing for their exams due to non-payment of fees. According to Parmar, no student would be debarred from appearing for examinations from classes 9 to 12 for non-payment of fees.

Only an undertaking from the parent or student concerned would be needed for appearing in the exams. This order by the Minister would be applicable to all Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education and other non-aided private affiliated schools in the state.

Parmar said the private school management cannot prevent any student from attending online classes or physically conducted classes in the school for non-payment of installment of pending fees. The students' exam results would also not be held back.

The Minister said the school education department was receiving many complaints regarding non-aided private schools taking forcible payment of fees from the parents through various means.
