Ahmadabad: The situation has started returning to normal after the decline in corona cases across the country, in view of which educational institutions in different states of the country have started reopening. The Goa education department has decided that all schools for classes 1 to 12 will be reopened from February 21, while all schools and colleges in Gujarat will also be made completely offline.

According to an official order issued by the Gujarat education department, schools will have to follow the Cove-D-19 guidelines while conducting offline classes. It may be recalled that schools in Goa were announced to be closed from January 4 to January 26, but the order to keep the schools closed was extended in view of the Cove-de-19 situation. Talking about Gujarat, the Covid curfew has also been lifted from 6 out of 8 cities here.

The home department has issued an order saying that the night curfew from 12 pm to 5 am will now be in force from February 18 to February 25 in only two cities of Ahmedabad and Vadodara. A Goa health department official on Wednesday informed that the state has achieved the target of 100 per cent full vaccination by vaccinating all the 11.66 lakh residents above the age of 18 years of the state eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine.
