A group of scientists developed a technology that can solve the energy storage issue. Researchers developed a graphene-based electrode, which can help to store the 3,000 times more energy than before.

This new technology can be termed as a large capacity capacitor or supercapacitors.

According to RMIT’s Professor Min Gu, "The leaves of the western sword fern are densely crammed with veins, making them extremely efficient for storing energy and transporting water around the plant."

Min further added, "The immediate application is combining this electrode with supercapacitors, as our experiments have shown our prototype can radically increase their storage capacity – 30 times more than current capacity limits."
