William Blinn, scriptwriter of landmark television projects Brian's songs and roots and Prince and film Purple Rain, passed away. William breathed his last at the age of 83 years. Blin's daughter, Anelis Johnson, issued a statement on Saturday.
"Roots" was the most important broadcast in tv history.
"Brian's Song" was the only tv movie EVER to be released as a feature because it was so great.

On Thursday, William said goodbye to the world. He has passed away due to age-related diseases. Blinn's death has occurred in Burbank, California. The people who have worked with him on the demise of Blinn have paid homage to him. Deadwood and supernatural fame actor Jim Beaver wrote in a tweet, "He was the master of his art and was a gentleman of the first order. My friend, your soul, in peace.'
William was honoured with Amy and Peabody Honours in 1971 for brian's song which showed the friendship of Chicago Bears player Brian Piccolo and Gail Sayers. It was a hit TV movie. Along with the telecast of the movie, it had a lot of love for the game fellows. Blinn worked in the Bluster mini-series Roots in 1977 which was based on Alex Haley's African American Ancestors in Slavery and Freedom. He won an Emmy and a Humanities award for the series.
