Another setback to Azam Khan, now court revokes Johar University land lease

Rampur: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MP from Rampur Lok Sabha seat Azam Khan's troubles are increasing day by day. After the controversial remarks on BJP woman MP Rama Devi in the Lok Sabha, he has been attacked by MPs of various parties in Parliament for two days. On the other hand, his problems are not diminishing even on the johar university's land. Now the SDM Sadar court has cancelled the lease of 7 hectares of land belonging to Johar University of Azam Khan.

According to information, the lease of 7.135 hectares of land of Johar University has been cancelled. It was leased by the name of Nasir Ahmed Khan, joint secretary of the Maulana Mohammad Ali Johar Trust. The Johar University ground scam came to light and the Tehsildar caught a major scam during the inspection, after which the investigation was conducted and the lease of the land was cancelled by the SDM Sadar Court.

The court said it is the sandy land of the Kosi River area, which is of public use. The court also held that the land was improperly leased. Earlier, the court had directed to vacate the illegal occupation of PWD's road in 15 days and deposit Rs 3.27 lakh as compensation.
