Grasim Industries Ltd on Friday said its consolidated net profit for the September quarter rose 50.4% from a year ago on better operational performance.
Net profit for the quarter stood at Rs.845.96 crore against Rs.562.48 crore a year ago. According to three Bloomberg analyst estimates, the company was expected to post a net profit of Rs.821.10 crore while net sales were at Rs.9136.70 crore.
Net sales rose 2.7% toRs.9261.78 crore from Rs.9016.23 crore last year same quarter. Other income rose 51.6% from a year ago to Rs.312.13 crore while finance cost fell 11.6% to Rs.166.53 crore.
