The deadly COVID-19 curves were flattened this May,  driving down COVID-19 infection rates and hospitalizations, enabling countries like Italy, France, and Spain to reopen well before parts of the US. Now, the European forced lockdown are happening again as number of cases are in increase compared tp earlier this year. Italy was the latest European country to announce COVID-19 related restrictions, announced on Monday.Till November 24, bars and restaurants will be close by 6 p.m., and gyms, movie theaters, and public pools will close completely. Instructions to stay at home and limit the contacts has been given. Italy reports 1208 patients in ICU as on Sunday, the number is more than that on March 9, beginning of Phase 1 lockdown.

Spain yet another hotspot curbed the virus slightly by lockdown, announces restrictions on Sunday.  National nightly curfew from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and gatherings of over six people are banned, restrict travel between regions are implemented for 15 days. But will be extended to 6 months if needed. In the past two weeks, new cases increased by 50% and the total case count stands more than one million. France fifth outbreak in the world, began second lock down from September. Started with restaurant closures in the southern cities of Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, followed by two-week bar, gym, and pool closures in cities including Paris, announced in early October. More than 50000 new cases on Saturday is the new record for the fourth day in a row.

With the new increase in infections, U.K., prime minister Boris Johnson announced a new wave of restrictions in late September. Pubs and restaurants were forced to close at 10 p.m. nightly, offices were closed once again, gatherings of more than six were banned, and fines were announced for anyone leaving home without a mask. Rules may lost for six more months as 20000 cases were reported on Sunday. Germany imposed two-week lockdowns in two Bavarian districts, Rottal-Inn and Berchtesgaden banning residents from leaving their home. The country reported 8,685 cases on Monday, 14000 was on Friday comparatively 6000 was peak daily case count in April. Poland, cases doubles in less than three weeks, nationwide red zone lockdown was imposed partially closing restaurants and primary schools. Belgium is forcing work from home again as hospital occupancy has increased by 87% last week. The Czech Republic, has imposed a full lockdown and closed its borders to travelers.
